This powerful portrait is titled "Hope" and was taken by portrait and event photographer, Teresa Rogers of Pluff Mud Photography. It is of breast cancer survivor and Grill Charms inventor, Leslie Haywood. At the age of 34, Leslie was diagnosed with breast cancer in June of 2006 and underwent a bilateral mastectomy and DIEP breast reconstruction. This was all while she was trying to raise her two young daughters and getting her Grill Charms invention off the ground. The arm with the amazing tattoo is Leslie's sister, Brandy Wombwell-Kotowski. Leslie's mother was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer while in her 30's. Being diagnosed with cancer so young as her mother before her, Leslie may have won her battle with breast cancer but with two daughters of her own, her war is far from over. 10% of the proceeds from your purchase of "Hope" go to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation to try to find a cure.
